To represent, lead and support Latvia’s security sector
Vision
To increase the volume of transactions in Latvia’s security sector and to obtain sufficient procurements from EU and NATO projects
Priorities
To facilitate the activities and development of companies, educational institutions and scientific institutions working in the security and defence sectors, enhancing their export capabilities and the added value of their products;
To unite, coordinate and represent the interests of companies, educational institutions and scientific institutions working in the security and defence sectors at the national and international level;
To ensure communications, information and exchanges of experience among members of the Federation;
To implement educational and training programmes to develop the participation of members in the programmes of the European Union (EU), North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO), its partner countries, and the United Nations (UN);
To facilitate the participation of Latvian companies and scientific institutions in projects related to the defence sector’s science, research and development in Latvia, the EU, NATO and the UN;
To organise events aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of the security and defence industries and the development of their various sectors;
To encourage government institutions to join with members of the Federation in enhancing business and research activities, competitiveness and the quality of jobs in security and defence industries;
To enhance public understanding of the socioeconomic importance of security and defence industries in Latvia.
